been to Cat's Cradle, I was surprised at how small it was and how awesome the sound was. I was able to get right up front; it
was the closest I had ever been to a show. It was awesome to see Robert tower over me with those big bass lines. This was an
excellent show, and I can't wait to see them again back home in Detroit or back here in NC. Please do not distribute in lossy

Notes:

The last show of this tour and another excellent one.  The Observatory is quite a bit smaller than the Wiltern (970 vs 2300), and it was completely packed.  I was on the 2nd drink rail, pretty much in line with the left hanging stack, and the recording came out pretty good.  Overall, the crowd was younger than the night before, and there seemed to be a ton of college students from nearby Cal State Long Beach.  At one point during the show, right before and during the solo songs, I was literally surrounded on all sides by college girls discussing social events, Facebook, pretty much everything except actually listening to the band.  You can hear some low chatter off and on during this part, but these mics are really great at rejecting sound to the sides and the back, so it's not even close to as bad as it was at the show.

Great show, 1st time seeing BRMC and definately see them next time around.
recorded directly behind the soundboard, very happy with the way the recording came out, the only bad part for me is during the lower volume acoustic songs the mics pick up the constant chatting go on in the building. The sound engineer cranked up the volume after Fire Walker. I tracked the recording for a disc split to be between 13 and 14 if burning to cd. (disc 1 - 62.41, disc 2 58.16, total 120 min 57 sec)

After going through my ticket stubs, I found that this is the 9th time I've seen BRMC, but my first in 5 years.  The show sold out almost instantly and the Troubadour was as packed as I've seen it.  The band but on a great performance and if you are a long time fan, you will definitely like the setlist as they played many older songs from the first 2 albums along with a few brand new ones from their upcoming album, due in March.  The sound was extremely loud, but good, and overall I'm happy with the recording.
